Cross stitch: Fillerbunny and Cthulhu

I haven’t done any cross stitching for ages. I did these two a few years ago, and scanned them in. I really do enjoy cross stitching, i just wish i had more time for it.

Camo Cowl

I knitted this for a friend of mine who goes hunting. He’s been raving about it for months, and says all of his hunting buddies are jealous. I ended up making him another one for a spare, but these are pictures of the first one.

First Armwarmers

Okay, for these i’d finally gotten some aluminum circulars, and i had myself a ball making these. I was playing around with decreases and increases, so i as i was knitting them, i decreased and then increased as necessary to make sure that these were an exact fit. I’m rather pleased with the result.

Things i’d do differently with future arm-warmers:

  • Write down the decreases as i go, so that i don’t need to put it on and take it off every other row.
  • use ribbing or stockinette/moss stitch on the ends so that they don’t curl.

First hat attempt

Okay, so right after i figured out the basic knit stitch, i went all sorts of crazy and decided i was going to make myself a hat. It was a bit of a flop: i’d never knitted on circulars before, and the bamboo circulars i’d picked up were worthy of no small amount of invectives. I eventually did pick up some aluminum circulars for future projects, but i never did finish this hat.
