Mother Louise Webb, 18?4 - 1898

Mother Louise Webb

A few blocks from my house, there’s a small cemetery. It is hidden, and yet right there for anyone who would see it. It is overgrown with kudzu, but some of the headstones still remain visible. Hundreds of people drive past it every day, but never seem to notice it. As if to prove this point, when Ben and i were standing there on the sidewalk in front of it, we struck up a conversation with three chaps who were also there to look at it; one of them had brought the other two there, because they didn’t believe him when he’d told them that it was there.

I’m trying to get better with photography, and this picture is a very wee experiment on the rule of thirds. It does seem much more interesting than the other ones i took, where the headstone was dead center in the image. So i’ll be playing more with that in the future. I’m also trying to get better about taking my camera out and about with me, so that i can take pictures of random things that strike my fancy.

Updated puppeh pictures

I know, i’m long overdue for posting pictures of them. I’m not sure if i have any of their baby pictures still up after redoing the site. I’ll have to check that out later. But for now, here are two pictures where you can kind of see how big Lefty is in proportion with Maya.
