I saw your review on Amazon, on Jace. You know how to write Lady, but of course you do, you're a Cancer, like me.

That is insane. What you could also do is instal Sun's VM Box, make a box using the copy you downloaded, if that fails, that give more info.

It's a slow process but hopefully the distros solidify in the next 2-4 years. Google could have a lot to do with providing people a quality, free OS.

She really isn't exaggerating. Many of the troubleshooting tips we ran across included such wonderful ideas as:
-Pop open the primary DLL for your DVD-ROM driver, insert CODE X, change CODE Y (based on other system specs), and be sure to extend the buffer section for ex2 floating point support, recompile. Open the installer image with Orca, pop in SCRIPT Z, append the driver to the file list, rebuild image, install.
Needless to say, I did NOT suggest that one to Lindsay. This is a perfect example of too much knowledge and too little sense.
-Write your own installer bootstrap with all IRQ's/ranges manually assigned.
Okay, this idea could at least potentially work, but seriously... that's a hell of a lot of work and will be a NIGHTMARE down the line.
-Just buy a new motherboard, NOOB!
The cost of a feature-comparable motherboard that allows ACPI emulation is a good deal more than a copy of Windows 7. Even if we DID pursue this insanity, we'd run face-first into the same problems with virtually every other component in the box.
PRO TIP: an OS "upgrade" that requires you to downgrade all your hardware is not an "upgrade".

*applause*

In a lot of ways I could have written this. I think I'm just further along in the process because I'm older than you are. I often wonder what would have been different if I would have had more confidence in myself in high school, or had been able to laugh at myself and the people who made fun of me.

But then I wouldn't be the person I am now, and I like this me, all 330 pounds of me. But what I can do is show younger girls and women that I love myself, and that my size is not my defining characteristic, so that they might learn to love themselves as they are a whole lot sooner than I did.

Thank you for sharing this!

I had tears in my eyes after I first heard those songs. I've been a science nerd since grade school, but god- the enormity & the fascinating intricacy of it all- it's almost incomprehensible.
