Why Does Your Diet Fail?

This is one of the most common questions that nutritionists need to answer when they first meet customers. Unfortunately, most people do not really know much about dieting. They go online, read some articles, some Le-Vel reviews and then they go on a diet. After the diet period is over they realize that they did not lose weight, gained weight or lost some weight but more weight is put back on in a short period of time. Why does this happen?

Believe it or not, most people that diet are going to fail. This is 100% normal because of the lack of knowledge about the subject. Here are the most common reasons why diets fail these days so that you can avoid them and go on the right path.

Not Eating As Much As The Body Needs

There is a clear difference between dieting and starvation. Unfortunately, in an attempt to lose as much weight as possible, people normally end up starved. That is a really big problem. If you want to lose weight you need to eat. The weight that is lost appears because of the fact that a calorie deficit appears. This means that the body just consumes more calories than it takes in. When the calorie deficit is too high the body enters survival mode. Not only will you not lose weight then. You will also end up with some potential damaging health problems that can so easily be avoided.

Completely Eliminating A Food Group

Human beings are omnivore. This means that we need so many nutrients in order to remain healthy. Many of the diets that you see on the internet are going to completely eliminate a full food group. This is a huge mistake. You need both fat and carbohydrates in order to lose weight. When you do not consume a specific food group the body will be faced with serious lacks that do lead to health problems.

No Exercising

Many think that exercising means that they have to go to the gym for hours, sweat and do strenuous activity. That is not the case. You do that when you want to build muscle, improve endurance and so on. Something as simple as walking more or going on a short bike ride two times per week can help you much more than what you initially thought. Those extra calories that you burn by simply not having a sedentary life anymore can be the difference you were looking for.

Not Going To A Specialist

In the event that you tried different diets and you still did not lose weight, there is a pretty good possibility that you are faced with a medical problem. You may need some treatment. For instance, the body may not be able to metabolize some substances. This could create a snowball effect that makes you not be able to lose weight. When you see that weight loss does not come although you do everything right, you will have to at least go to a reputable nutritionist to see what is going on.
